They explained everything clearly to me and I felt they were honest. Signed up for annual maintenance! I have since had them return for electrical work, and Ben and Mike went above and beyond. The wiring they encountered was not exactly standard, and the light fixture I had purchased was missing a piece but they solved the problems and got everything done. They also restored light over my basement stairs making it much safer. Very satisfied!

Suddenly about 10:45 last night my toilet started leaking. There was water shooting out & flooding the bathroom. I have arthritis in my hands so I couldn't turn the water off. I called Cardinal & they sent a plumber right over. He immediately turned off the water, repaired the toilet & got the water back on. Easily the best home improvement service I have received! You won't be disappointed.Quote:I worked with Greg for a quote on a new furnace and A/C. The quote was easy to understand, with my options being clearly laid out with their pros and cons. It was clear Greg knew the systems very well and easily answered my questions, even following up with videos explaining a feature.I liked that the quote was a flat fee with labor and parts included. Greg took a ton of measurements to ensure the quote was accurate and that there would be no surprises during installation. He was honest about Cardinal's own motivation for the special offer I was receiving, which made me feel confident. The quote and final price were the same.Installation:Installation was offered the next day! (This was during their quiet season.) There were two installers, Rich and his colleague who's name I forgot (sorry!) It was clear they took pride in their work. They arrived on time with everything they needed. They were incredibly organized, with tools laid out neatly. They didn't blast music, swear, or talk about anything uncomfortable. Lots of laughing and good moods. I was easily able to work at my desk while they were installing the system.Nothing went wrong during the installation. I am very impressed with how clean the wiring and plumbing are. Rich took the time to show me everything, inside and out. He gave some tips on how to run the system efficiently and take care of it. They cleaned up really well! Like they were never here.The equipment:Love my Comfortmaker equipment so far! What an upgrade. Everything is quieter and my home's comfort level is noticeably more consistent.I know this is a glowing review, but I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with my experience. You won't go wrong choosing Cardinal.Update 5/13/2022: Still using Cardinal for plumbing jobs and still very happy. Every tech has been kind and competent. Prices are up but that’s the case everywhere.

Mike at Cardinal is more helpful and kind than I could have even hoped for! He quickly identified the cause of the problem I was having and knew exactly what needed to be done to fix it. He also found me a great deal for installing some light fixtures I’ve been procrastinating on and installed them in no time. He communicated extremely well with me (who knows little to nothing about electric work) and did all of this cheerfully too. It just makes the stress of having repairs done a million times better! I have used Cardinal for nearly every repair in my house from plumbing to HVAC and now electrical work and I trust every single person through their group that I’ve met! All the people at Cardinal Heating & A/C, from the guys who do the repairs and installation to the people working at the office desk, are pleasant and professional. They do great work and I am very pleased with the recent job they did installing a new heat pump system, a new furnace, and a new A/C unit. I’m so relieved I won’t need to be calling my home warranty company to have someone come fix the A/C or the furnace several times a year and always at the worst possible moment!!

Cardinal came out for free to give me an estimate. They were the only company to do so, and I tried five companies. As a result they gave me the best price because they actually knew what they were dealing with. The guys who did the work were great too, got the job done quickly and it looks excellent. 100% satisfied! ……. A year later needed a new furnace, used Cardinal again, same great result. Big fan of this company.

We have a house that's over 100 years old with quite a variety of pipes, plumbing, etc. We wanted to install laundry on the first floor of the house and also update the pipes downstairs.Cardinal came out within days of my call to provide an estimate, provided the written estimate the next day, and then worked with me on scheduling the work.The two plumbers were prompt, efficient and did an amazing job! They found a leak and worked out how to get that fixed while they were here. They made sure the washer worked before leaving.I am beyond happy with the quality of the work and would highly recommend Cardinal!

They came out to repair some plumbing issues and did such a nice job I had them come back to install a water softener and a reverse osmosis system. The plumber Kyle was very helpful, professional, and addressed our problem quickly. The receptionist Amber showed empathy when I told her we had no water overnight. She contacted the service manager immediately and said she would have someone there soon. (My now previous plumber of 25 years was surprisingly unempathatic that we had no water. I used them at home and at my business as I said for over 25 years)I would highly recommend Cardinal HVAC/plumbing, the way they treated a new customer was just what one would expect as if they were a long time business/home client. They really saved me last night! At 6p we discovered water in our finished basement. We immediately tried getting rid of the water but We soon discovered that the sump pump had stopped working. I called my local plumber, who I have given tons of work between my commercial buildings and my home, but no response even through the emergency option. I had used Cardinal in the past for an HVAC repair but not for plumbing. I called and to my relief there was a live person who answered after 3 rings. I live over 40 miles away but in a little over an hour the Cardinal service man arrived at my home. He even stayed awhile to make sure that the water was going away. He also fixed another item that I was told that there wasn’t a fix for. I am having them come back to install a more reliable back up system asap. I will continue to use Cardinal for all of my HVAC/plumbing needs.

Overall, this was an excellent experience. I applaud the team for their efficiency and craftsmanship on the job. One suggestion: put some more effort into communication. We had to continuously call our representative and/or the company to make sure we were in the loop. For example, we were told we would be contacted within the day with a quote and we gave them 5 days before finally calling our rep. Other than that, every conversation and encounter was professional, kind, and personable. I also like that we get a bio of the technicians (via text) coming in to inspect or to work. The communication is what keeps this rating a 4 star.
